Kamaal-eddin Masoud Khojandi
pen-named Kamaal, a Tajik poet born in 1400 at Khojand (Leninabad,
Russia), a master Sufi owner of his own school and following. He lived
around the time of Hafiz but unfortunately his work completely
forgotten
in Iran until recently. He was a POW in China and forced to serve under
the Mongol rulers. Died around 1500 in Tabriz, Iran.
