1470- إن أول ما خلق الله القلم فقال له: اكتب قال: ما أكتب قال: أكتب القدر ما كان وما هو كائن إلى الأبد.

"Allah created Al-‘Aql (Intellect) first and said to it: "Come forward" and it came forward, then Allah told it:" Go backwards" and it went backwards” said the Prophet, peace be upon him. In other versions: “Allah told it (Aql): Sit and so it sat, speak and so it spoke and told it : "Silence"! And  it became silent”.

Further, Allah swears by Hu’s (ITs) own Might and Glory: “I have not created any creation more loved by Me other than you (Aql)”.

Further, Allah confirms the instrumentation of the ‘Aql: "With you I will praise! And with you I will endow! With you I will take and with you I will give!”

Chapter 1: Aql (Intellect) & Its Qalam (Pen)

O Dervish! Allah—The Lofty—created a Qalam (Pen) within the Alam-Kabir (Eminent Universe) and that is the Aql-Awwal (Primordial Intellect). Allah also created another pen within the Alam-Saghir (Minor Universe, here) and that is the human intellect (Aql).

Now know that the human intellect (Aql) has two pens within the realm of the Zahir (Abstract Emergence):

1.    Tongue: The instrumentation for the Zuhur (Emergence, Appearance) of the knowledge
2.    Hand: The instrumentation for the Zuhur (Emergence) of actions/deeds

Since the tongue and hand are pens indeed they are in perpetual writing!

However the Haqiqi (Real) pen is Aql (Intellect). Since it is the Muzhir (Place for manifestations of something) for knowledge as the true power of the humanity is Aql (Intellect).

Tongue and human hand are indeed the Surat (Form, Shape) of the human intellect (Aql).

The human knowledge and human power except by the middle-agency of these two, the tongue and the hand, cannot have Zahir (Abstract Emergence) within the realm of the Shahadat (The Observable Universe).

The tongue coveys the speech of the Aql (Intellect) to those present and hand’s writing conveys the conversations of the Aql to those absent.

The wisdoms of the Fitra (Human inner innate inert design and nature) and intellectual observations are made Zahir (Emergent) through the tongue, while the scientific and technological innovations are emergent through the hand. (Dara: the latter refers to analytical/algebraic sciences and the former refers to the intuitive or spiritual discoveries.)

O Dervish! Aql (Intellect) is created since it is conversational/verbose and again tongue is created as well since it is also conversational.

Aql (Intellect) is a teacher; similarly the tongue is also a teacher.

Aql (Intellect) is the Rasul (Messenger) of Allah while tongue is the Rasul (Messenger) of the Aql (Intellect).

The members of the Jabarut (Seed of corporeal and spiritual realms) have Surat (Shape, Form); the members of the Malakut (Spiritual realm) have Surat (Shape, Form); also the members of the Mulk (Corporeal Universe) have Surat (Shape, Form). However the Surat (Shape, Form) of every entity has to be appropriate and related to the states and circumstances of that object.

The members of the Mulk (Corporeal universe) have Surats (Shapes, Forms) that are observable by the senses (or measurable or observable). The members of the Malakut (Spiritual realm) have Surats (Shapes, Forms) that are intellectual. However the Surat (Shape, Form) of the members of the Jabarut (Seed of the corporeal and spiritual realms) is Haqiqi (Reality)!

Dara: Now Nasafi defines the concept of the homomorphism the very foundation of the all chirality and mirror symmetries.

Allah—the Lofty—fashioned the Mulk (Corporeal universe) according to the Surat (Shape, Form) of the Malakut (Spiritual realm) and as such made it to be the Muzhir (Place of the manifestation) for the Malakut (Spiritual realm). And Allah fashioned the Malakut (Spiritual realm) according to the Surat (Shape, Form) of the Jabarut (Seed of the corporeal and spiritual realms) and as such made it to be the Muzhir (Place of manifestation) for the Jabarut.

Dara: We hear from Qur’an that there are palm trees and pomegranate fruits in the Gardens of Eden. As Nasafi explicates, dates and pomegranates are the ‘images’ or ‘projections’ or Surat of some creation that is found within Eden (Malakut). For most, these images are blurry and fuzzy and cannot see them properly. Indeed in Eden there are no organic fruits and trees as we have on this earth, what is growing here is only a visual-organic image for us to know what is in Malakut!

It is because of this that the members of the Jabarut (Seed of the corporeal and spiritual realms) have Ishq (Unrestrained Love) for the Malakut (Spiritual realm) as the members of the Malakut (Spiritual realm) have Ishq (Unrestrained Love) for the Mulk (Corporeal universe).

This love is due to the fact that the members of the Jabarut (Seed of the corporeal and spiritual realms) behold their own beauty within the Malakut (Spiritual realm) thus observing their own attributes therein. Because of this is, it is said: Wujud (Being) is brimful with Ishq (Unrestrained Love) and thus in love with Itself (Unary love)!

All these members are in motion, these movements are due to the Shauq (Yearning), seeking (with much yearning) their own Self. No matter how I tried to make this short it became longwinded.

End.
